coco chanel: an agent of change

What is most interesting about Chanel’s life and accomplishments is that she started out life from very humble beginnings. Her mother died when she was young and her father left soon after. She was raised and educated by Catholic Nuns and you can see the influence that the colours and simplicity of their clothes left a lasting impression. They taught her to sew and she was able to turn this difficult beginning into a successful fashion empire.
